RTS Atlanta Welcomes Rev. William B. Fullilove as Assistant Professor of Old Testament

Reformed Theological Seminary is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev. William B. Fullilove to the position of assistant professor of Old Testament for the Atlanta campus. Additionally, Rev. Fullilove will serve as assistant academic dean, effective June 1.

Fullilove is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Semitic and Egyptian Languages and Literature at The Catholic University of America. His research focuses on the Dead Sea Scrolls and the translational intersection of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. He has published on the New Testament and the Old Testament, as well as ancient languages and writing systems including Aramaic, Ugaritic, and Cuneiform. Fullilove has earned an A.B. from Princeton University, an M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary, and an M.A. from The Catholic University of America.

An ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America, he currently serves as the minister for pastoral care at McLean Presbyterian Church in McLean, Va, where he preaches regularly and oversees faith and work ministry, small group ministry, and many of the caring and outreach ministries of the church. Previously, Fullilove served as that church’s pastor for ministry operations, where he oversaw the operational aspects including finance, facilities, and administration. He has taught at Reformed Theological Seminary campuses in Atlanta and in Washington, DC.

Fullilove is also the director of the Capital Fellows Program at McLean Presbyterian Church. His ministry to the Fellows concentrates on developing a theology of vocation, an understanding of how they serve God and advance God’s kingdom through work in the marketplace. He focuses particularly on helping men and women in their first year out of college transition to the workplace and grow into Christian leaders in the church and society. He is also certified as an in-house field associate with SIMA (System for Identifying Motivated Abilities) and accredited as a Belbin Team Role consultant.

Prior to joining McLean Presbyterian Church, Fullilove worked as a senior associate at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman), helping direct large domestic and international strategy consulting projects. He also founded the Harvest singles ministry at McLean Presbyterian Church. His passion for theologically equipping young men and women and his business background have combined in his current pastoral role.

According to RTS/Atlanta campus President John Sowell, “This search was a multi-campus effort that spanned the better part of a year. While the faculty search committee had the privilege of considering several outstanding candidates, one name continuously was suggested by faculty and friends of the seminary: the Rev. Bill Fullilove. Culminating a prayerful and careful search process, the Committee unanimously concurred in the selection of Rev. Fullilove. What a joyful and hopeful decision this will prove to be, not only for RTS and for the Atlanta campus, but in service to Christ’s church for years to come.”
