RTS hires new Director of Communications

August 25, 2017 – Chancellor Ligon Duncan is pleased to announce a new Director of Communications for Reformed Theological Seminary. Mr. Phillip Holmes has been hired to lead in this vitally important area that will encompass institutional branding,print publications, digital marketing and social media. “I have known Phillip since he was a student at Belhaven, then RTS Jackson. I can’t wait to work with him in an area for which we have a shared passion” Duncan said.

Phillip has a wide span of skills to share with RTS, in both writing and digital media. He graduated from Belhaven University with a B.A. in Biblical Studies. He served as the Co-founder of the Reformed African American Network (RAAN), as well as VicePresident. He has worked for Desiring God as a content strategist and written for several ministries, including The Gospel Coalition. Most recently, he served as the Creative Director for Rivertree Financial Planning, where he oversaw all marketing &branding initiatives, including both digital & printed materials. Phillip is married to Jasmine, and they have one child, Wynn. He is an active member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS.

Phillip will join Matt McQuade, Director of Visual Media, who currently oversees video and photography production at RTS. This duo of talented individuals will lead all of our campuses in their communications efforts.
