What is the Struggle of Being a Pastor?

As a pastor, one of the biggest struggles was learning to deal with my own heart before helping other people deal with theirs. That is one thing that my mentor taught me: being a pastor entails that we must learn to pastor our own heart first. It is as hard to deal with somebody else in their situation.
Being a pastor entails that we must learn to pastor our own heart first.
It is not as hard to talk to them and help them to see certain things that they may be missing. We have blind spots, so in dealing with our own sinful hearts, we find that there are things there that we know should not be there; there are things that should be there that are not there. The greatest challenge that I have found as a pastor was learning to deal with the heart. It is something I continue to have to learn and wrestle with as a minister of the gospel.
